The Collaroy Jazz Collective is a community band for students in years 7-11 to come together and play big band music in a jazz style. Originally formed of alumni of the Collaroy Plateau Public School band programme, the members come from Collaroy and the surrounding suburbs of the Northern Beaches in Sydney. Our band director is local trumpeter and conductor James Power.
